Christmas Round Up

Community Project

A thank you from the fantastic community organisations that Northfleet Central CIO donated to over the Christmas period.

Our Project donations this Christmas

This Christmas, Northfleet Central CIO made donations to four local organisations that help those most in need within our community.

These included:

St Botolph’s Church Christmas Lunch for Seniors. In attendance was the Deputy Mayor for Gravesham, Councillor Peter Scollard, who helped by handing out Christmas cake to the attendees.

“We wanted to thank you for organising the grant of £350.00 (from Northfleet Central CIO) towards the cost of catering,  which enabled St Botolph’s Church to host a Christmas Lunch for 49 members of the churches and the community around us, too. A superb three course meal was served, with sherry and glass of wine, finished with coffee and mints and a gift of a small bottle of wine and a box of chocolates to take home.

A raffle was held which realised £115.00 for Gravesend Sanctuary for the Homeless and St Botolph’s School Choir came to sing carols before lunch.
Everyone enjoyed the day, including the cooking and waiting staff! It gave everyone involved a real lift in what has been, for many, a very grim year.
With our thanks

Northfleet Central CIO supplied gifts to the children of families from St Botolph’s School. We received this wonderful poem as a thank you!

Northfleet Central CIO supplied Christmas Gifts for the residents of Cleveland House. We received a thank you letter from the Founder of the Confident Children Project.

The management, volunteers, children and parents would like to extend our thanks and gratitude towards our Christmas Gifts to those in need and vulnerable in our community in Northfleet. You funds helped us to make hampers for the residents of our local Cleveland Sheltered housing with the names of those which fit the criteria send to us by the manager of the home who was very appreciative of this kind gesture in this the second year of us doing this.

On the day the children helped to get some of the items, made up the hampers and then I went with them to make the delivery to 15 flats within the Cleveland sheltered home We had some left overs which we then gave to some of the children to share with their families as some of the residents had gone away.

Please see attached some photographs of the children as we were not able to take photos of the residents who received it because of covid restrictions.

Thanks very much one again

Northfleet Central CIO supported St Nicholas Day with the Romani Slovak Czech Community CIC and Ebbsfleet Garden City.

On behalf of the Romani Slovak Czech Community CIC, we would like to express our gratitude to Northfleet Central CIO, who supported our St Nicholas Day together with the Ebbsfleet Garden City. It brought children, their parents and grandparents from all parts of the community, existing and new ones, to the event. It was be held on the aptly named Community Square and contributed towards tolerance, understanding and mutual respect that underpins community cohesion within this very diverse area.
