I moved to Gravesend with my wife just over 5 years ago, to be closer to our daughter and her family after living most of our lives in Cheshire. Volunteering is an important part of my life; I was the Chairman of School Governors at our children’s primary school, District Scout Chairman and l have always believed it is important to support your community.  After I took early retirement from the Petrochemical industry,  for several years I volunteered at the National Waterways Museum, where I became a member of the Management Board, then a Director and finally the Chairman of the Trust that owned the assets of the museum. Since living in Gravesend I have been an unpaid Director of two local community companies.

I am pleased to be part of a new Northfleet Central Charity that will support and build on the success of  Northfleet Big Local, working to improve the community and the lives of the people that live in it.
