Steve Stamp

Chairman

My wife and I have lived most of our lives in Cheshire and moved to Gravesend just over 7 years ago to be near our daughter and her family who live locally. For over 30 years I was employed in the petrochemical industry in supervisory and then management roles.

After retiring, I joined an International Management Consultancy as a senior consultant working in UK, Europe and the Middle East, coaching board members and senior management of major blue chip companies in leadership and management of crisis and emergency situations.

Volunteering is an important part of my life; I was the Chairman of School Governors at our children’s primary school for five years and District Scout Chairman for six years. For many years I volunteered at the National Waterways Museum, where I was asked to join the Management Board, subsequently I became a Director and finally the Chairman of the Trust that owned the assets of the museum.

I have always believed it is important to support your community.  Since living in Gravesend I have been an unpaid Director of two local community companies.

I am excited to be working with the other Trustees of Northfleet Central CIO to improve the quality of life and life chances of the residents of Northfleet.
